Dr. Roch Christian Johnson (President - ILA)
Dear Dr. Johnson,
Indian Association of Leprosy is more than 60 years old organisation of medical doctors and doctorates dedicated exclusively for leprosy activities in all its spheres, primarily aiming towards the eradication of leprosy.
Presently we have more than 800 dedicated members.
Most members work with the government and find a difficult to afford a foreign trip with the salary, most of them feel the present registration free of USD 500 is very high for them.
The opinion shared in our whatsapp group, a few of them are being shared with you

Dear Prof. Dutta
I was quite unhappy to read in today's Papers that Leprosy cases have increased in Bihar and elsewhere. Could you kindly recommend to the authorities concerned to employ the Vaccine based on Mycobacterium indicus pranii for immunizing the Contacts of leprosy patients. The Vaccine is approved by DCGI and is manufactured by Cadilla. Attached is a Paper recalling the decision taken at a Meeting chaired by Health Minister Nadda ji and the Chief Minister of Gujarat Rupani at Rajkot in May 2017. The Vaccine will also provide protection against tuberculosis, which is in fact the test employed by manufacturers for testing the authenticity of each batch .
Sincerely
G.P.Talwar
